Japanese Kumiko Lamp

This handcrafted lamp blends refined European craftsmanship with timeless Japanese design. The solid frame is made from European walnut, carefully finished with Danish Oil to bring out its deep, warm tones while protecting the wood with a subtle, lasting sheen.

The intricate Kumiko pattern, Ryuso Kikko, is traditionally formed from repeating triangles within triangles, symbolizing the powerful claws of a dragon. Each element of the pattern is precisely assembled from natural larch wood, highlighting the beauty of joinery without nails or metal fasteners.

Soft Kozo paper completes the piece, valued for its strength and fine texture. When illuminated, it diffuses the light gently, creating a calm, welcoming glow that enhances any interior.
